Most of the sightseeing tour in Uzbekistan are concentrated in and around the four major cities like Tashkent, Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva. All these cities happen to be historical places of interest, with the result there are many architectural and historical monuments to visit and explore here. Tashkent is home to some of the largest concentrations of historical monuments such as Madrassah of Abul Kasim, Square of Hasti Imom, Mausoleum of Sufi Ota, architectural design and ensemble of Hazrati Imom and many others. Tashkent is also the capital of Uzbekistan and served as a crossroads of spices, gold export, precious stones as well as spices. Hence, Tashkent has enjoyed a reputation of having a strategic location as far as trade was concerned.
